The Indian Posts & Telegraphs Department issued a special stamp set on January 26, 1973, to celebrate the nation’s 25th year of freedom.
  • Design: The 20 Paise denomination stamp features the Ashoka Chakra interlocked by a Naga.
  • Symbolism: This design, created by artist Jyoti Bhatt, symbolises how democracy is well-protected in India.
