To celebrate the International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023, the Government of India released a commemorative postage stamp and a special currency coin to promote “Shree Anna” (the mother of all grains).

Occasion: Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Global Millets (Shree Anna) Conference in New Delhi.

Design: The stamp features the official “International Year of Millets” logo and illustrations of various millets. It highlights their importance for food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture.

Denomination: ₹5.00.
