Issued by India Post, the stamp honors the temple’s 1,000-year legacy of spiritual continuity, resilience, and civilisational significance, bearing the theme “1,000 years of India’s Unwavering Faith and Devotion.”

Theme: The stamp celebrates the history of regeneration and unbroken faith surrounding Somnath, recognized as the first of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It also ties into the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav, marking 75 years since the temple’s modern reconstruction in 1951.

Denomination: The commemorative stamp has a face value of Rs. 5.

Associated Souvenirs: Alongside the stamp, special philatelic items were produced, including a miniature sheet, picture postcards, and Somnath Temple collectors’ blocks.

Associated Commemoratives: A special Rs. 75 silver commemorative coin (weighing 40 grams) was also released to mark the occasion.
